Director Amir Karakulov will speak about how a character’s personality shapes a film’s perception and share his personal experience in creating vivid and textured protagonists.

Karakulov is a director and screenwriter and one of the most notable debutants of the Kazakh New Wave. His first film, The Other Woman, received critical acclaim at the international film festival in Paris, found success in Italy and France, and was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize in Moscow.
