An artist-talk with the BARSAKELMES performance participants will take place on November 22nd at 4:30 PM in ORTA 1.

We will discuss how the sound and the visual image of the performance are formed. The conversation will include Balkhash Snitsya, dudeontheguitar, lovozero, SAMRATTAMA, Steppe Sons, and qazaq indie.

As part of the meeting, the participants will share how musical and visual solutions are born within a large interdisciplinary team, how collective work influences the final form of the piece, and what meanings underlie their search for the “language of the future.” We will touch upon questions of cultural intuition, referencing myths, experimentation with sound and image, and also discuss what remains invisible to the viewer but determines the atmosphere and energy of the performance.

The artist-talk will be an opportunity to look inside the project's unique “dressing room” and hear stories that have not yet appeared in the public sphere, but are important for understanding its concept and development.
