Lecture
30.09.2023
Tselinny Temporary
A public program by @tolk.kz dedicated to exploring the figure of the hero (both male and female) in contemporary Kazakhstan. The event features three lectures, each offering a unique perspective on the modern hero(ine) through the lenses of mythology, feminist optics, and philology.
The superhero figure in today’s culture is deeply rooted in thousands of years of mythological consciousness and the heritage of world literature. Over the course of three lectures, we will dive into literary history, Kazakh epics, and mythology to revisit familiar narratives and imagine new types of heroes and heroines.
