A series of master classes by Saule Suleimenova on cellophane painting

In December, Tselinny will host two free master classes by artist Saule Suleimenova: SU and JER — inspired by the BARSAKELMES performance. The master classes will be accompanied by consecutive sign language interpretation.
1. On December 14, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be an open SU master class dedicated to the theme of water. This master class is about how to creatively depict water as a living element through color and working with plastic bags.
Participants are invited to bring blue, turquoise, purple, green, and white plastic bags—any that are associated with water. During the class, Saule Suleimenova will prepare identical templates that can be used to cut out elements from these bags and assemble your own composition on thick plastic film.
We invite everyone, regardless of age and skill level, to register for the SU workshop at this link.
2. On December 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saule Suleimenova will hold a master class, JER, dedicated to the power, drama, and joy of the earth.
Participants are asked to collect and bring bags in warm colors: yellow, orange, ochre, and brown. While creating their artwork, participants will be able to discuss the power and importance of the earth, as well as its historical and conceptual role in the life of the Kazakh people. The audience for this workshop will be students from boarding school No. 1 for children with hearing impairments.
Participants in both workshops will be provided with scissors, cutters, silicone guns, and prepared forms, and everyone will be able to work at their own pace. If desired, the compositions can be combined into one collective canvas.
The workshops will be adapted for people with hearing impairments.
Workshop leader: Saule Suleimenova — a contemporary Kazakh artist and member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan.
Sign language interpretation will be provided by Regina Korzhikova.
Both workshops will be held in Tselinny at 59 Masanchi Street, in the Atelier educational space on the second floor of the center.
