Dariya Temirkhan’s work Who Guards Your Dreams was created as part of the Barsakelmes project. At its core is a series of watercolors featuring snakes and dragons, intertwined with a legend about water spirits. Projected onto Yevgenii Sidorkin’s sgraffito, the piece merges myth, dream, and reality, while the sounds of the Jaiq River enhance the immersive effect. In conversation with the audience, Dariya will talk about her approach to the decentralization of culture and her exploration of memory in both urban and rural life in Kazakhstan.
