Saodat Ismailova is a filmmaker, video artist, and researcher from Uzbekistan. Her works were featured at the Venice Biennale, documenta 15 in Kassel, the Berlin and Rotterdam film festivals, as well as at the Centre Pompidou. We already share a history of successful collaboration with Saodat: we supported Chillakhona, her recent work, presented at the 59th Venice Biennale, and screened her film Two Horizons twice—during the launch of the Horizon online anthology and as part of the Korkut Biennale program. The upcoming artist talk on December 24 at 16:00 with @saodatismailova will explore both the conceptual and research-driven aspects of her work, as well as the more practical side including fundraising and working with institutions. So that is how we naturally continue our ongoing partnership.
