On September 5, Tselinny will host the family creative game Four Landscapes. We invite all visitors, including parents with children of any age, to join the game freely throughout the day.

At the heart of the event is a simple question: how else can we learn about the world besides receiving ready-made explanations?

For one day, ORTA 3 will turn into four territories — the steppe, mountains, sea, and an imaginary place that does not exist in nature.

Steppe — the smell of wormwood, hot sand, and the songs of grasshoppers.

Mountains — the sound of a mountain river, the smell of stones and damp grass.

Sea — traces of receded water, salty wind, and scorching sun.

Imagination — a path into a cloud through an upside-down sky to a settlement of unusual creatures.

None of the landscapes will be prepared in advance. Visitors will build them themselves using sand, soil, pebbles, stones, moss, thorns, roots, shells, and seeds. Plasticine will be available to make animals, birds, and imaginary creatures that might live in these places.

Each territory will have a few simple prompts: what kind of landscape it is and how it works, what materials can be used to build it, and who lives there. From that point on, each visitor decides what to explore, what to add, and what the place will become.

Through play, children and adults will be able to learn more about the landscapes, flora, and fauna of Kazakhstan. Knowledge here grows through curiosity, materials, and personal action: visitors can touch, move, build, imagine, and test their own ideas.

This approach is also connected to the architecture of Tselinny itself. Asif Khan designed the building without a single step: visitors enter directly from ground level, and everyone finds themselves on the same plane. We continue this horizontal principle in the game — adults and children explore the space together, as equals.

Throughout the day, all four territories will continue to change. By evening, the steppe, mountains, sea, and imaginary place will look very different from how they did in the morning.

The event is curated by Lena Anderson — an artist, art therapist, Reggio educator, and architect who leads art groups and art mediation sessions for children and adults.

The game will take place on September 5 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm at 59 Masanchi Street, Tselinny, ORTA 3. Admission is free. Visitors can join at any time during the event. The event is open to adults and children aged 5 and older. Children aged 7 and older can participate independently, without a parent present.
