Last summer, we strolled down Kabanbai Batyr Street—the famous "Brod," one of the main gathering spots for Almaty's urban intelligentsia. It was a crossroads for directors, artists, writers, and everyone who shaped the city's cultural life in the second half of the 20th century.

This summer, we are continuing our walks.

We start our route at the Solid Coffee cafe in the "Almaty" Hotel. Together, we will explore the history and architecture of the area, talk about its past and present, and then wrap up our walk at the Tselinny Center for Contemporary Culture.

Mediation in Russian will be held on Saturday , August 1st, at 5PM.

The mediation fee is 5,000 KZT per person. Payment will be done upon tour completion at Tselinny.  Prior registration required.
