Workshop
Tselinny

At the end of December, the Tselinny Center for Contemporary Culture is opening a New Year's workshop for children and adults—a place where old and, at first glance, useless things are given a new lease on life.

Do you have any pretty rags lying around at home? A holey towel? Building blocks that no one has played with in a long time? Bring any “junk” with you — together we will turn it into Christmas tree decorations and New Year's cards. This is a way not only to make something with your own hands, but also to symbolically leave behind everything unnecessary in order to enter the New Year unburdened.

The workshop will be led by artist Violetta Bogdanova.

Program:

December 27, 2:00–5:00 p.m.

Open workshop on making Christmas tree decorations.

We will cut, assemble, combine materials, and look for unexpected shapes. Pieces of fabric, details, and old objects will be turned into unique Christmas tree decorations with their own history and character.

December 28, 2:00–5:00 p.m.

Open workshop on creating New Year's cards.

On the second day, we will add text to our work. We will make cards and write short wishes, poems, and dreams on them — for ourselves and for our loved ones.

Both workshops are open format: you can come and go at any time between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

If you don't have any unwanted items, don't worry, we will provide all the necessary materials.

Who is it for?
