Open Workshop: 100 Languages of Creativity

On June 6, we invite children and their parents to an open workshop inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, dedicated to International Children’s Day.
On this day, the ORTA 3 hall will transform into an open studio. The workshop is primarily intended for children, but adults are also welcome to join freely. It is designed as a family-friendly format and an opportunity to spend time together with your child in a space where curiosity, independence, and collaborative exploration are valued.
The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy developed by the Italian educator Loris Malaguzzi. At its core lies trust in the child — in their interests, attention, and ability to discover the world independently. The role of the adult is to notice this curiosity, support it, and create conditions in which it can unfold.
At the center of the event are five “provocation” tables. In Reggio pedagogy, a provocation is a carefully prepared environment with selected materials that encourage children to act, explore, and investigate. There are no ready-made instructions or correct answers here. The materials themselves invite play, observation, and experimentation, while each child finds their own way of interacting with them.
These five provocations become five invitations to explore the world through the “100 languages” of creativity — through form, texture, movement, composition, imagination, and free expression.
The workshop curator is Lena Anderson — artist, art therapist, Reggio educator, and architect. She leads groups and art mediation sessions for both children and adults.
The workshop will take place on June 6 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 59 Masanchi Street, Tselinny, ORTA 3 Hall.
Participation in the workshop is included with exhibition admission tickets (2,000 tenge for adults and 500 tenge for children).
