This animated film is dedicated to several years in the life of musical genius and Indian classical music legend Kumar Gandharva, which he spent suffering from tuberculosis. During his illness, Kumar listens to the surrounding nature and quietly hums new melodies.

Watercolor animation conveys the musician's inner experiences: he wanders through the desert with camels, swims in the open ocean, and travels on trains symbolizing a united, independent India. At the same time, he is surrounded by sounds that inspire further creativity: birds singing, branches rustling, the sound of the wind. Over the course of an hour and a half, this difficult time for the musician becomes a beautiful and soothing visual immersion into the world of an artist who is important to India.

Amit Dutta, one of the most interesting Indian directors of our time, juggles genres and forms as he pleases: his filmography includes documentaries based on found footage, stop-motion animation, and forays into slow cinema. But his focus remains unchanged—he examines individual aspects of Indian culture and art from different periods under a microscope.
