Robotics with an Artist

Four stand-alone workshops exploring how robotics can become a language of self-expression and artistic statement. Together with an engineer and artist, participants will build and program robots that not only function but also carry ideas, character, and meaning.
We will dive into the basics of engineering thinking, learn how to work with motors, sensors, and microcontrollers, and understand the principles of prototyping. Each workshop will focus on a separate theme — ecology, music, embodiment, and urbanism — becoming an independent project in itself. Working in teams of three, participants will build their own unique robot that is not only technically self-sufficient but also reflects their ideas and values.
Location: Atelier, Center for Contemporary Culture Tselinny, Masanchi St. 59, Almaty
