Ümit Playground is a program dedicated to discovering new projects and emerging voices. It seeks to support the next generation of artists by focusing on the development of artistic language and the current stage of their practice.

We invite artists and curators who are in the process of emerging, rethinking, or expanding their work.

Following a selection process, participants will have the opportunity to realise an exhibition or develop a single project within the program, that could be exhibited in Capsule gallery in Tselinny.

Projects may take the form of a solo presentation, a collective initiative, or a curatorial proposal, as the program is open to both artists and curators.

Timeline:

— from April 13 to May 20 (inclusive): Application period

— May 30: Announcement of results

— from July 9 to September 27: Exhibition / Project realization

For existing works: description, images (photos/sketches/drawings), exhibition history (if any), and current location.

For new projects: description, working materials, preliminary budget, and production schedule.

Program finalists will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Tselinny team throughout the spring and summer. This includes participating in meetings with invited experts, further developing their project, and preparing it for realization.

Selected participants will be provided with a production budget as well as organisational support. The format and exhibition design will be developed in collaboration with the Center’s team.
