In today’s world, where our attention is constantly being pulled in different directions, the practice of contemplation offers an opportunity to slow down and engage in a dialogue with a work of art. Spending time looking at a work allows us to move beyond our first impressions, discover new meanings, and notice what often remains unseen during a quick exhibition visit. In this way, contemplation becomes a meaningful experience of mindful presence.

“Zoom In” is a format for exploring a work of art at an unhurried pace, based on the practice of slow looking (slow art). Rather than trying to see the entire exhibition, visitors dedicate their time to a single artwork, carefully examining its details and discovering how they shape perception and give rise to associations.

Together with a mediator, visitors explore the artwork through questions, dialogue, and the sharing of observations. This format does not require any prior knowledge of art and invites everyone to become an active participant in the process of interpretation. The goal is not to find the “right” answer, but to engage attentively with the artwork and develop a personal experience of encountering it.
