SCCA is the archive of the Soros Foundation-Almaty Center for Contemporary Art, which existed from 1998 to 2010 and became an important reference point for contemporary art in Kazakhstan. From 2021 to 2025, the Tselinny team is working on digitizing, systematizing, attributing, and ensuring the legal security of this archive.

The collection covers key events and figures in the artistic process of that period: posters, exhibition announcements, competition entries, invitations, critical articles, biographies of artists, photographs of works, and much more. In total, the archive contains materials on 38 artists, 10 folders of art projects, 44 additional folders with materials on exhibitions, booklets, and openings, 193 film negatives, 59 photographs, and 33 DVDs, as well as VHS tapes.

This archive is not only a preserved history, but also a space for new research, re-evaluations, and discoveries in the field of contemporary art in Kazakhstan.
