It's Not Me is Leos Carax's self-portrait. His thoughts race at a frantic pace, connecting the most diverse ideas—one step away from the story of his family, and we are already watching a chronicle of Hitler's time. A step away from that, and Carax is already reflecting on the nature of modern autocrats. “Mauvais Sang” rhymes with Lubitsch, “Les Amants du Pont-Neuf” with Vidor. Past and present, smartphones and Maybridge, the end of cinema and its birth. The story of oneself as the story of cinema.

Being John Smith is an essay by a classic of British avant-garde cinema, based on reflections on his overly common name. These reflections, imbued with subtle humor, lead him to his own biography, his family history, British politics, his creative path, and the stories of other John Smiths.

Debut is the festival sensation of 2025 from young American director Julian Castronovo. The title is no lie — this is the director's first feature film, which he made on a budget of $900. Julian appears in the Photo Booth app window, inserting scanned objects and documentary fragments. His focus is on the story of the missing art forger Fawn Ma, which spirals into a paranoid, speculative meta-autofiction that questions reality.
